Making the most of... WINE

Part of our mission when we chose to re-open would be to really get our heads around wine and how we offer it to our customers.

We’ve all found ourselves in agreement that we’ve often found the experience of going in to a wine shop quite intimidating. We’re committed to getting this right and we’re going to work our socks off to ensure we treat every item we sell with love and care so that you know exactly why you bought it, and maybe learn a bit about it along the way.

Yesterday we spent the day re-jigging all the wine labels so that every wine followed the same method of description:

  1. Price

  2. The name and whether it is vegan or organic

  3. The provenance

  4. The grape (s)

  5. Tasting notes and ABV (which we've now tried to simplify although greater descriptions are available online)

  6. A suggested pairing dish (but we would LOVE to see what you do choose to pair your selection with should you be planning to enjoy your wine with food).

The wines in the shop have been arranged from left to right in increasing price order because let’s be honest… just sometimes you know your budget and you want a good wine for that price point. They start at £8.50, and whilst we can’t go head to head with some of the major supermarkets with slashing our prices, we’re quietly confident that what you’ll find here has been selected with more care and will offer greater value for money in terms of its quality.

Online we are now offering gorgeous wine subscriptions which come with tasting notes and an invite to our WINE CLUB.

… And just to also mention that you can enjoy your purchase here in the pub at an additional corkage of just £2.50 should you not be able to wait to get it home!
