On Thursday 9th May Lemonworld Records will be hosting a free ticketed show at the Sir Garnet in Norwich to celebrate the release of Badhead Hyland's new record 'I never planned to write a record this sad.'
Badhead Hyland is an apathy-pop artist from Norwich. Having spent the last 10 years fronting musical endeavours Real Life Charm & Marines, Badhead has been supported by the likes of Huw Stephens (Radio 1), Phil Taggart (Radio 1), Dave Rowntree (Radio X) and Lauren Laverne (BBC 6 music). His project Real Life Charm was published in i-D, Clash, IndieShuffle and played the Radio 1 academy, whilst his other project Marines took him across Europe and the UK with You Me At Six and Lower Than Atlantis, respectively. He's now introducing himself as a solo artist, creating a nostalgic sound akin to early Bright Eyes and Laura Marling.
He is supported by Bjorn Vale, a folk artist from Norwich. Bjorn Vale previously established himself under the guise Mount Hood, creating ripples on the national circuit for his intimate and incredible live shows. Having toured extensively in Radio 1 hailed project Light Parades, Bjorn Vale has since gone on to create some incredible records as a producer and his own as a performer.
