WHY WE LOVE... CROP NORFOLK

We’re determined to keep shouting about the incredible local suppliers who we are so proud to be able to support and stock. This week we caught up with Hilary Hann aka CROP Norfolk; having moved back to Norfolk which created the time and space to start CROP. Starting with Homewares range and now developing a clothing range of calm, quiet garments. Crop products are made in quality fabrics, sourced from reputable suppliers. Every design, whether homeware or clothing, is tested and developed to ensure the best possible standard of manufacture. Multiples are then made to an exact specification.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELVES?

I am based in Cromer, Norfolk where I design and produce homeware and clothes.

WHAT MADE YOU SET UP CROP?

The move back to north Norfolk created the time and space to start up Crop. Having retired from the London College of Fashion, I am enjoying the challenge of developing a range of practical and straightforward homeware products made from natural linen and cotton fabrics.

WHO IS PART OF YOUR TEAM?

It is just me.

HOW HAS THE CURRENT PANDEMIC AFFECTED YOU AND WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?

The quiet time of lockdown gave me the chance to develop new ideas for products and both helped me appreciate where I live and made me realise how important it is to travel beyond home.

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT THE AREA YOU LIVE IN?

The walk to Overstrand over the cliff top and back along the beach.

One of Hilary’s most recent sunset walks to Overstrand.
